About Ritzy C-suite®

Ritzy C-suite®is an online school that offers personalized learning anywhere, anytime. We are currently providing CBSE curriculum and our Transfer Certificates are valid till Grade 9. Students who require a formal certificate or marks sheet can register with NIOS (The National Institute of Open Schooling, an autonomous institution under the Ministry of Education, Government of India) and appear for examinations at the end of the year at a centre near their place of residence. Ritzy C-suite® will facilitate this process for all such students. Also you may check our registrations.

With Ritzy C-suite®, we hope to create a school experience that meets the need of the 21st Century, especially post-Covid19. We offer a structured, progressive and personalised learning through some of the best teachers in the country. The intend is to keep the learning process on , even when the physical schools cannot function. Physical School has its own merits and demerits; it may not be suitable for everyone. We urge you to decide on your choice carefully and hope that the FAQs help you make the right decision.

Ritzy C-suite®is suitable for students and parents that require flexible learning, or personalised learning. It is the best platform for home-schooling your child in several cases. Ritzy C-suite®is best suited for the following children:

  • Advanced or gifted children who want to excel or learn deeper and wider
  • Home Schoolers, who are looking for structured learning
  • Children who do not have access to good schools with good teachers because of economic reasons, long travel hours to School or the place of their residence
  • Children undergoing professional training in music, arts, sports, and similar activities and require flexibility in learning hours.
  • Children undergoing medical treatment which makes them difficult to attend traditional schools
  • Children of parents in transferable jobs that often require a change of schools.
  • Children who attend regular schools and require additional tuition classes
  • Children of parents who are worried about the hygiene/sanitisation in physical schools, and the health and safety of their children due to the pandemic Coronavirus and social distancing norms
  • Children requiring mid-term admissions
  • Parents who are looking for an alternative to hostels
  • Children who are not satisfied with traditional schools due to high fees, low quality of teachers, or a poor experience of learning.

Ritzy C-suite® envisions an online school designed for the 21st Century. We offer structured, progressive, and personalised learning for our students using EdTech tools and techniques, which is challenging to implement in a physical school. The data analytics and immediate feedback aids learning and understanding, both for teacher and student. The cost of high-quality schooling is a fraction of the cost of regular education. Ritzy C-suite® is more efficient, less expensive and offers higher value. Some points to consider are:
Teachers selected from across India and are the best in the field
Students don’t spend on Transport, Uniforms and Dining Charges.
Our curriculum goes beyond academics and incorporates Habits of Mind, Real-Life Lessons and is more attuned to the realities of the 21st Century.
It is safe and secured, esp. at a time when the world is becoming more socially distant.
The flexibility of learning with recorded classes aids anytime, anywhere learning.
Every child at Ritzy C-suite® learns and grows at his own pace, mentored by our experienced team. There is no rat race of percentage marks or grades.
Online Schools overcome the problems of bullying, corporal punishment, discrimination and favouritism.
We believe that the purpose of live classes is not to “teach” but to develop a human connection and facilitate learning.

We would also have video-based oral assessments and AI-driven assessments to measure the depth of understanding and learning. Further, we plan to integrate tools that check plagiarism and identify content copied from sources on the internet.

Yes, please select a start date whilst completing the registration form. Please bear in mind that it usually takes up to two weeks to process the registration.

Students who enrol into InterHigh need to be fluent in English reading, writing and speaking.

One of the many benefits of learning with Ritzy C-suite® is the way it allows teachers to deliver tailored education to all learners. Traditional classrooms can be unpredictable in their nature, which is not the case with Ritzy C-suite®’s online classrooms. In a mainstream school setting, students who miss lessons due to hospital or doctor’s appointments may find it difficult to catch-up, causing them to fall behind. Every lesson is recorded and stored in the lesson archive, enabling them to catch-up at any point. Plus, students can privately message their teacher at any time during or after lessons with queries, getting their questions answered without the fear of feeling embarrassed in front of their peers.

It is possible to access the learning materials already covered in the lessons earlier in the term. Students would need to plan to do this in and around their attendance at timetabled lessons.

We do have a few students who study at Ritzy C-suite® and another school – this can be tricky to try to match up timetables. If you require more information, please email admissions@ritzycsuite.com. The admissions team will be happy to discuss your individual circumstances and attempt to reach a solution.

You will need to upload a copy of your child’s birth certificate and Aadhaar Card as proof of address. The contract you will sign will be electronic, so there is no need to print it off and scan.

We operate a rolling admissions policy meaning that we accept enrolment throughout the academic year.

The simple answer to this question is Yes. Learners can join anytime, although they would be expected to make up some of the work that has been missed depending on the time of year and we strongly recommend speaking to our enquiries team for further recommendations.

Student’s Learning Kit is a set of textbooks and workbooks for use throughout the academic year. Parents will get the Kit at their residence on enrollment, and after payment of the Kit charges.

The Learning Kit will be delivered within seven days of payment, subject to any restrictions due to lockdown. The students will have access to a digital copy, in case the delivery of the learning kit is delayed for reasons beyond our control.

All our teachers meet the eligibility criteria and person specification stipulated by us. We expect teachers to be subject experts and have the necessary skills, aptitude and personality to teach online. We also look for teachers who are good human beings and are loving, joyful and thoughtful in their approach. We train all teachers before they start to teach students and interact with parents.

Others

Even beyond the privacy concerns, there are many reasons why the classroom is the worst place in the world to be if the ultimate objective is real learning. To all this, we have to add a complete wildcard – social distancing. The Covid-19 pandemic has given urgent currency to the term Social Distancing. It is reasonable to assume that even after the coronavirus is a thing for the history books, the idea of social distancing in one form or the other will persist. It is a harsh reality that almost overnight, every single classroom in its present way violates norms of social distancing. The classes in its current form endanger the health and safety of students and staff. In the post-covid era of education, students will mostly use virtual platforms for socialisation. Even before the pandemic time, Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat were the primary platforms for socialisation. In a traditional School, arguably, child’s socialisation is restricted to students of his age group in his class. We hope to break this ceiling, and with the involvement of parent’s, the socialisation can be extended across different age-groups around your residence, in a safe and secured way.

Ritzy C-suite® is safe and secured from coronavirus in comparison to attending a physical school, which involves travelling by bus and exposure to hundreds of students from diverse background and profiles. With regards to IT security, we have in-built systems and tools that track the student’s activities while online during live classes and ensure the safety of the student. Ritzy C-suite®does not require the use of social media platforms, gaming apps and requires limited browsing on the internet. The only screen time expected is for online classes and related tasks/activities. Further, the chances of physical bullying, corporal punishment and discrimination are mostly limited during online schooling. Nevertheless, we encourage parents to be alert and involved to ensure complete safety of the students at all times and follow the protocols and guidelines of Government Bodies and Agencies. It is reassuring to know that India’s Child Online Safety Index (COSI) is ranked ninth globally, much higher than countries like the USA and UK. Learn more about our Safegaurding policy here

Ritzy C-suite® takes all reasonable precautions to treat Personal Information as confidential. It has implemented industry standards to protect the data from unauthorised access, improper use or disclosure, modification and unlawful destruction or accidental loss of the Personal Information. We do not sell or commercially use any of your personal data, except as required to continue to deliver you the services under our offering. To protect the security of your Personal Information during transmission, we use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software, which encrypts information you input. To prevent unauthorised access of sensitive information, you need to monitor those who have access to your password and your computer, laptop or any other device. Be sure to sign off when finished while using a shared computer. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for detailed understanding.

Screen time refers to the time spent on devices – mobile, tabs, computer and television. World Health Organisation recommends up to 1 hour of screen time for children aged 3 – 5 years and about 1.5 – 2 hours for Primary Students. Not at all screen time is terrible, especially if there is a human at the other end of the screen. The Screen Time at Ritzy C-suite® has a caring teacher at the other end and is part of the structured learning process. Ritzy C-suite® does not require the use of social media platforms, gaming apps and requires limited browsing on the internet. The only screen time expected is for online classes and related tasks/activities. At the pre-primary level, the screen time is more with adults than with the student and is being used to provide a human touch to the home-schooling process. We advise parents to restrict the screen time of their children beyond Ritzy C-suite® hours. Detailed guidelines, tips and counselling support will be provided to all enrolled students to help manage the screen time of their children.

Teaching and Learning

We cannot provide further syllabus information beyond what is available on our website before enrolling. If you have specific subject enquiries, please contact our enquiries team and they will pass these on to the relevant teachers.

We do not offer any subjects at present that are taught in different languages besides English except the second language, Hindi and Foreign Languages.

Yes, we would follow the system similar to a traditional school with regards to the promotion of the students. There will be term-end assessments and final examinations. However, unlike physical schools, we would have an assessment that provides feedback and also facilitate remedial classes for concepts that are not well understood. The assessment pattern would also be different with a greater focus on the application of concept rather than memorisation of concept.

We would use the online medium to conduct Inter-class and Inter-school competitions. In due course of time, Ritzy C-suite® will make the announcements along with the details for Games, Debates, Quiz, Arts & Craft, Music Concerts and more.

Educational outcomes in traditional settings focus on how many answers a student knows. When we teach students at Ritzy C-suite®, we are interested also in how students behave when they don’t find a solution. We are keen to enhance the ways students produce knowledge rather than how they merely reproduce it. We want students to learn how to develop a critical stance with their work: inquiring, editing, thinking flexibly, and learning from another person’s perspective. All this is possible with the use of technology tools we use at Ritzy C-suite®. We use data analytics and artificial intelligence to monitor the progress of the student’s conceptual understanding. Moreover, with the help of proprietary technology and systems, we close the learning loop feedback at the end of each unit. The students will build their knowledge and concepts of the next unit classes after the assessment and completion of the previous unit. Our systems ensure that parents do not have to wait for PTMs or Report Cards to know whether their child is learning or not.

We recommend age-appropriate books for parents to buy as a part of their home library. Alternatively, books can be rented through online libraries or community libraries, if available. Shortly, we would also provide Digital Library for students and parents.

Physical Sports and Games would not be possible online. We would hold online classes for Yoga, Meditation, Mindfulness and Well-being.

Presently, we offer a large number of capstone courses along with the usual subjects that are mandatory as part of CBSE Curriculum. The compulsory subject offered are Language, Mathematics, Social Science and Science. The capstone courses include Spanish, Visual & Performing Arts, Mindfulness, Habits of Mind, Robotics, IOT & Coding. Ritzy C-suite® is evolving every day, and you could expect more from us.

Except books for Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics for Class 6 to Class 10, all other books used are of NCERT. However, the method at Ritzy C-suite® is Teaching for Understanding and focus on conceptual learning. The books can be different, but they all follow the same curriculum framework – National Curriculum Framework of India. Ritzy C-suite® expects the students to improve their concepts and real-life application using our system. We hope that Ritzy C-suite® Students will excel in their physical school space as well.

Remedial Sessions are additional classes conducted for students to help them understand the concepts better. Often, students do not grasp the concept fully in a class setting. Based on the feedback of our data-driven assessment system, remedial classes will resolve the gap in understanding a particular concept for individual or group of students.

Contrary to Remedial Sessions, Enrichments Classes are for those students who have excelled and above average in the class. Research shows that such students can lose interest in the regular class sessions if it does not offer more challenging classwork or homework. We have different options to ensure that the super-achievers of the course are well engaged and active learners.

We want students to feel compelled, enthusiastic, and passionate about learning, inquiring, and mastering. Activity-Based learning is a method of learning through participation. It goes beyond learning by active listening and involves participation in the teaching-learning process through reading, writing, discussion, role-plays, problem-solving and debates. It focuses on an understanding of the concepts as against the traditional approach of memorisation of the concepts. Experiential learning is an immersive learning approach where the concepts of learning are linked to the real-wold metaphors and contextualised for the learners. It aids mastery of the concepts and makes learning active, enjoyable and captivating. It also builds in problem-solving and decision-making skills.

There would undoubtedly be homework. In fact, in the flipped model, there is more homework as against work done during live classes. Without compromising on the academic rigour, we would ensure that there is a balance of homework and live sessions. Further, homework is part of active learning.

Ritzy C-suite® is a new-age school designed for the real-world. The School’s vision seeks to create learners who have the self-confidence, independence, and high-tech skills to continuously learn—meeting challenges innovatively and creatively. According to our vision, students would imbibe the following skills: Creativity and Innovation. Critical thinking and Problem solving. Communication and Collaboration. Flexibility and Adaptability. Initiative and Self-direction. Social and cross-cultural skills. The repository of such skills is more valuable today than ever before because the world is getting socially distant than ever before.

The structured learning system, along with positive reinforcements from teachers, will help students to become disciplined. Of course, we would need the support of parents and others at home to achieve this. However, with Online Schooling, the bad influence on a child is also restricted. Active learning and participation will ensure that the child is well-occupied in productive things and would reduce the chances of a mind going astray.

There would be both formative and summative assessments. Students take Examinations based on conceptual understanding and application of knowledge, and this reduces the instances of plagiarism or copying. We would also have video-based oral assessments and AI-driven assessments to measure the depth of understanding and learning.

Yes, students will have written work, and it is part of the learning material. Parents can capture images from mobile and email us for evaluation/feedback.

City-based learning trips will be encouraged. Parents can take their children for a visit to certain places as per the requirements. During summer breaks, we may facilitate Outbound Learning Programs and Excursions. These would be optional, and there would be an additional cost as well.

Students’ Portfolio is a compendium of his academic work. Most traditional schools maintain a file folder, and it includes worksheets, photographs, progress report cards, health charts and such other information. Ritzy C-suite® will host the digital Portfolio over the internet.

For Pre-Primary, we have designed and developed our proprietary curriculum. The curriculum designed meets the latest National Council for Educational Research and Training (NCERT) Guidelines and is based on the framework of Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), UK. It incorporates the 16 Habits of Mind, designed for 21st-century children and is ISO 9001:2000 Certified. The curriculum cover seven significant and interconnected areas of learning and development, divided into the Prime Areas and Specific Areas.

Prime Areas

  • Communication and Language Development
  • Physical Development
  • Personal, Social, Emotional Development

Specific Areas

  • Literacy
  • Numeracy
  • Understanding the world
  • Expressive Arts and Design

For Grades 1 and above, we follow the National Curriculum Framework (NCF) of India. This curriculum is developed by the National Council for Educational Research and Training (NCERT) and approved by Ministry of Education, Government of India. It is the same curriculum that is adopted by CBSE and other Boards in India. The present NCF dates back to 2005, and we expect a new NCF in 2020. Ritzy C-suite® would adopt any changes in the NCF, as decided by the Government from time to time.

The medium of instruction is English unless the subject requires another medium of instruction. Parents will be free to communicate in their chosen language if the teacher can follow the same.

Students have options to choose for their second and third language to be studied from Grade 1 onwards. English is the first language and the medium of instruction for all students. However, Students can opt for Hindi,Kannada,Tamil or French as their second and third language. The second language is compulsory for all students across the Grades. The third language is compulsory for students in Grades 6 to 8. Students of grade 1 to 5 can opt for 3rd language on payment of an additional fee for the same.

Yes, students can study SPANISH as second or third language upon payment for additional fee for the kit.

Three to four hours of classes per day for six days a week have been carefully crafted, keeping in mind several factors. We believe that this is an optimum structure and offers a host of related benefits. In a traditional school, the school time includes recess and lunchtime. It also includes many other periods which we believe can be reduced or removed from the weekly time-table. For example, the Library period, sports period, GK Period are not included in the Ritzy C-suite®time-table.

Classes are only for three hours for Grades 1 to 5 and Four hours for Grades 6 to 8. During these classes, the teachers will conduct sessions and also assign homework for students to do during the day. In addition to these, Students would be guided for activities, reading time and physical exercises. We expect the students to be engaged in active learning for about 6-8 hours a day.

We expect an adult to be with the student during all live classes. In case Parents / Students are unable to attend the live classes, they can view the recorded classes. Additionally, parents can also refer to the School Notice Board for updates on homework and activities.

Yes, it is essential. In our culture, parents are the First Teacher (Guru) of the child. We expect parenting and teaching role to converge in home-schooling. The live classes are also an opportunity to understand and clarify their responsibilities while the student learns.

Yes, the Batches have fixed timing. The reason is that a cohort of teachers and supervisors are responsible for each Batch. They are responsible for tracking the progress of your child’s learning. If there are frequent changes in the Batch, it gets challenging to make a teacher and supervisor accountable for a child’s progress, which is not acceptable. The “Anytime and Anywhere” learning is possible with the flexibility to view the day’s session at a time and place convenient to students and parents. Also, the students can complete their homework from any location and at any hour of the day. For example, if a child has Music Classes to attend in the afternoon, she can choose to complete her academic work after the music classes. Please Click Here to know more about Batch Timings.

We have a ratio of 1 teacher to 25 students in pre-primary, 1 teacher to 30 students in pre-primary and 1 teacher to 40 students in Secondary. The above does not include Guest Faculty.

Several factors, including the recommendations of the World Health Organisation (WHO), have helped us to determine the optimum number of live classes. As such, Nursery students have 60 minutes, Kindergarten Students have 120 minutes, and Primary and Middle Students have 3 hours and 4 hours respectively of live classes. The above time includes classes, activities, meditation, daily assembly, assessment, and recess.

The purpose of live classes is to establish human contact, to teach concepts, conduct activities and to provide structure to the daily learning outcomes and expectations. Live classes also include assembly time, activity time and the regular teaching periods.

In case Parents / Students are unable to attend the live classes, they can request for the recorded classes from the Portal. The parents can also refer to the School Notice Board for updates on homework and activities.

You can apply for leave through Ritzy Parent’s App. Teachers will mark the attendance on the Ritzy App daily. The information on participation and leave will only be visible to the concerned parents/students and not to other parents/students.

Parents have multiple ways to reach out to the Principal / Teachers. Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs) will be held on a one-to-one basis bi-monthly. In addition to this, Parents can contact the Teachers / Principal through online chat, email and calls (through prior appointment). We have defined appropriate levels of escalation to your requests.

We conduct regular feedback polls and surveys about the teachers and the teaching-learning experience. Additionally, Parents are welcome to communicate their concerns and suggestions using the communication tools like chat, email and calls (through prior appointment).

Yes, Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs) will be held on a one-to-one basis bi-monthly. Please refer to the School Calendar for the schedule.

Worksheets and Home Works can be scanned using mobile scanners and uploaded on the Portal.

Yes, Parents will receive Progress Report Cards at the end of each term.

We will be holding Special Assembly Sessions to educate and understand the significance of festivals and other important days. We would also share tips and ideas for celebration at home with family and friends.

Yes, each day will begin with Assembly Session of about 10 minutes. During the assembly, students and teachers will hold universal prayers and set the tone for the rest of the day. We do not intend to subscribe or teach any religious doctrines in the Assembly or Sessions. The focus is on universal values of truth, love, understanding, compassion and peace.

We have a teacher student ratio of 1:25 til Grade 5 and for Grade 6 to Grade 10 the ratio is 1:50. Please check our timings here

Students can change their Batch only once during a month and not more than three times during an academic year.

Saturday is a working day for students of Grades 6 to 10.

Indeed, this is the intent of Ritzy C-suite®. We personalise the education and academic learning experience of students to meet their requirements.

Technical

Parents can request that their child have a MIC exemption put in place for a certain subject(s). This will allow their child to attend the live lesson without having to participate. This can help take the pressure off the student if they suffer from anxiety. After the first/second half-term, the parent can review this, and let the teacher(s) know if they wish to have this option removed. Once the student is enrolled, the parent would email the teacher directly via their Parent Portal to request the MIC exemption.

We recommend using a Windows based computer or laptop for students. Apple Macs can be used but ‘Office for Mac’ is required to work in the same file types. We do not support full functionality of smartphones and tablets. Visit Computer requirement page for more information.

Our live online classes are held in Ritzy C-suite® software, which allows us to provide a virtual classroom environment for our students.

Yes, please complete an Enquiry Form to request for the demo.

Home-schooling or Home Education is a term used for students who undergo their schooling from home or a variety of other places other than a School. Parents, home tutor or online tutor usually delivers the education program to students. Home Schools are popular with parents who are not satisfied with neighbourhood schools, or desire to have greater control and involvement in the learning process of their children. Home-schooling offers significant advantages for students – it is flexible, offers a variety of learning experience, ensures greater engagement and personalised attention. However, the most considerable disadvantage is that it can be mostly unstructured. Ritzy C-suite®provides structure to home-schooling along with the other benefits that the system offers.

Online Schools, as a concept is not new. It has been in existence since the mid of 1990s and made significant advancement with the penetration of the internet around developed countries like USA, UK, Australia and others. Most of the States in the USA have a State-sponsored Online School operational. The Covid19 has accelerated the adoption of online schools across the world. Ritzy C-suite® is the first online School of India. The number of Online Schools in India will increase in due course of time. Post-Covid, most schools would adopt blended learning or online schools. With more than 500 million 4G-users in India, quality school education through online Schools will become more accessible across the country. The high cost of physical school education and lack of quality teachers in India is another reason for the fast adoption of online schools.

Blended learning is an approach to education that combines brick and mortar schools with online schools and learning. It makes use of teachers in a classroom context along with EdTech based solutions for online teaching, activities and resources. It does not offer all the benefits of an online School. However, it does provide some elements on student control over student time, pace, path and place.

Flipped learning is an instructional strategy where students watch online lectures, collaborate in online discussions, or undertake research at home while engaging in concepts in the classroom with the guidance of a teacher. In a traditional classroom setting, student’s learning is centred around the teacher, and the engagement of student is restricted to participating in teacher-led activities. In a flipped classroom, the teaching is student-centred, where the time in the school is used to explore topics in greater depth and create meaningful learning opportunities. At the same time, students are initially introduced to new topics outside of the classroom. In a flipped classroom, ‘content delivery’ may take a variety of forms driven by EdTech platforms like Ritzy C-suite®.
